A conversation that sparked curiosity<\/strong><\/p>\n On a January morning at Chinmaya School in Kasargod, more than 180 teachers sat down for a conversation about AI, one that most of them had never had before. They had traveled from schools across the district. Some were curious, some skeptical, but most simply wanted to learn what AI and emerging technologies could do to support teaching and learning.<\/p>\n That morning marked the start of a partnership between Infosys Springboard and Resurge India Foundation, a Keralam-based NGO working in education, capacity building, and skill development. Together, the partnership set out to strengthen digital learning and teacher enablement across underserved parts of North Keralam.<\/p>\n January 14, 2026, marked the formal launch of the program, with Sampoojya Swami Viviktananda Saraswathi, Regional Head of Chinmaya Mission, Keralam, present for the occasion. Speaking at the launch, Santhosh Ananthapura, Associate Vice President, Head – Infosys Springboard India, & Government Partnerships, Infosys Limited, emphasized technology’s role in widening access to education and the need for teachers to become comfortable with digital tools sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n The Train-the-Trainer sessions that followed were led by Aishwarya Rajeev, Senior Analyst – Learning at Infosys Springboard. She walked educators through digital learning practices and AI-enabled approaches they could realistically implement in their own classrooms. The room’s response left little doubt about how ready teachers were for the shift. Hands went up before she’d finished a sentence, and the questions kept coming long after the session was due to end.<\/p>\n Expanding the initiative across North Keralam<\/strong><\/p>\n The program didn’t stop at Kasargod. It moved to Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Kozhikode for a second phase, drawing over 150 educators and reinforcing the potential to expand the initiative to other locations. Less than a week later, the focus shifted to inclusive education at CRC Kozhikode, where more than 80 participants joined the conversation, including special educators and students pursuing careers in special education.<\/p>\n Advancing inclusive education through technology<\/strong><\/p>\n Here, the focus turned toward accessibility. Participants were introduced to Infosys Springboard’s Yunikee Channel (home to 26 Indian Sign Language courses) and walked through how AI and assistive technologies can support inclusive classrooms. None of this was theory for the special educators in the room. It was a set of tools they could start using the following Monday. Several said the free resources on Infosys Springboard were something they’d return to long after the session ended.<\/p>\n Building confidence for the future<\/strong><\/p>\n Across all three phases, the feedback followed a similar thread. Many found the training made AI concepts easier to understand and helped them see, concretely, how these ideas could work in their own classrooms.<\/p>\n Between January and March, the partnership reached hundreds of educators and education professionals across North Keralam. Through training sessions, discussions, and access to digital learning resources, participants explored how AI and technology can support teaching, learning, and inclusion in today’s classrooms. Many left with more questions than they’d arrived with, and in a room full of teachers, that’s usually a good sign. And that’s exactly where the next phase of the partnership will begin.<\/p>\n A teacher’s perspective<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIn today\u2019s world, it is essential for this generation to learn about Artificial Intelligence, and through this programme, teachers were meaningfully supported in that journey. The sessions were highly engaging, easy to understand, and very interesting.
