These are commonly known as rebate accruals and are usually noted as dollar\/unit. There are also certain promotional events that offer a fixed dollar amount as part of the promotion. These are not seen on sales orders or invoices and are accounted for in the delta accruals run.<\/p>\n<p>To pay out the amount accrued, a settlement run is done.<\/p>\n<p>Finance and accounting teams need information from condition contracts and other documents generated from the settlement management process such as accrual documents and settlement documents to be populated at the General Ledger (G\/L) line-item postings in the relevant accounting documents.<\/p>\n<p>This is a frequent requirement in all industries across customers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sample Scenario<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Let us consider a fixed amount scenario. A company promises a retailer a fixed amount, say $3124 to run a promotional event for a certain period, say from 05\/29\/2023 \u2013 07\/12\/2023.<\/p>\n<p>Note: All screenshots and samples are based on S\/4HANA on-premises \u2013 Release 2021 (SP Stack 02\/2022).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-535 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.infosys.com\/sap\/core\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Fig-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1144\" height=\"404\" \/><em>Figure 1<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On fixed dates as defined in the settlement calendar, the system carries out delta accruals and settlement runs.<\/p>\n<p>For each delta accruals or settlement run, information contained in the field Process Variant shown in Figure 1 must be passed to the field Text in the accounting document shown in Figure 2<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-536\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.infosys.com\/sap\/core\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Fig-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"676\" height=\"166\" \/><em>Figure 2<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Internally, this requirement translates into SGTEXT field (line-item text) in the accounting document to be populated by the value in the Process Variant field in the condition contract.<\/p>\n<p>Let us explore the two ways in which the above requirement can be fulfilled in SAP:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Traditional approach using Business Add In (BADI).<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 New configuration-based approach using Transfer Manager available in settlement management.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Using BADI<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the traditional approach, this is how the requirement can be met using CCM BADIs:<\/p>\n<p>Path for the relevant BADIs:<\/p>\n<p>Transaction code: \/nWLFA<\/p>\n<p>Settlement Management &gt; System Enhancement &gt; Business Add In (BADIs)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-537\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.infosys.com\/sap\/core\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Fig-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"654\" height=\"396\" \/><em>Figure 3<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Let us understand how the Process Variant field from the condition contract is updated in Text field in the accounting document.<\/p>\n<p>BADI: WLF_ACC_ENHANCEMENT_EXT<\/p>\n<p>Method: CHANGE_ITEM_LINE \/<\/p>\n<p>CHANGE_ACCRUAL_LINE (alternatively this also can be used for delta accruals)<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I_KOMLFK-CONTRACT contains the condition contract number.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Take this as input for the WCOCOH table and fetch the value of process_variant (Process Variant field in the condition contract).<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Populate the value of process_variant (Process Variant) \u00a0in C_ACCIT- SGTXT (Text field in the accounting document)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Using Transfer Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.Go to the following settings as shown in Figure 4:<br \/>\nSPRO \u2013 Logistics General \u2013 Settlement Management \u2013 Settlement Documents \u2013 Specify Settings for Transfer Manager<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-538\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.infosys.com\/sap\/core\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Fig-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"607\" height=\"418\" \/><em>Figure 4<\/em><\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Select the settlement document type (settlement document type for delta accruals, partial settlement, and final settlement) as shown in Figure 5.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-539\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.infosys.com\/sap\/core\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Fig-5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"686\" height=\"237\" \/><em>Figure 5<\/em><\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Transfer data contained in Process Variant directly to SGTXT via configuration without any ABAP code as shown in Figure 6.
