SAP Connect 2025, held in Las Vegas from October 6–8, brought together SAP customers, partners, and thought leaders under one roof to explore the next era of business transformation. Through keynotes, multiple experts led sessions, deep-dive discussions, and real-world success stories, the event revealed multiple innovations, SAP’s strategic vision and roadmap for numerous SAP products, SAP Business AI and SAP Business Suite.
The event opened with a Kickoff keynote, where SAP Executive Board Member Muhammad Alam, in charge of SAP Product & Engineering, set out SAP’s vision for how SAP Business Suite, which combines AI, data, and applications, can transform enterprises and deliver unprecedented business value to customers and was based on backdrop theme:
“Connect Everything, Achieve Anything: Agents, Data, and the Business Suite.”
Muhammed Alam emphasized about the importance of connected data and flywheel of seamless apps, data and AI which can provide a global maximum as compared to limited outcomes of siloed, disconnected systems operating in isolation across functions. Thus, he stated that SAP Business-Suite, which offers best-in-class capability across the breadth of businesses and has an out-of-the-box harmonized data model, is a must have in the age of AI.
A Unified Experience
In contrast to previous years where each function had its own event, SAP Connect has evolved into a single, unified experience. It now features five tailored tracks (Success Connect, Spend Connect, Customer Experience Connect, Finance Connect and Supply Chain Connect), each catering to a specific function, clearly demonstrating how SAP Business Suite solutions integrate to deliver value across the entire enterprise.
Key Announcements at SAP Connect 2025
SAP announced a series of innovative solutions designed to usher in a new era of productivity, intelligence, and business outcomes for customers worldwide, where AI can be used in broadest context providing maximum output.
According to SAP, enterprise data often remains trapped in silos across teams, clouds, and legacy systems, creating a context gap. SAP Business Data Cloud bridges this gap by harmonizing data wherever it resides while preserving its business context, forming a solid foundation for intelligent applications and trustworthy AI.
SAP Business Data Cloud Connect was among the Key Highlights in SAP Connect which further helps customers to close the data fragmentation gap. With Business Data Cloud Connect, companies can unify insights across SAP and non-SAP platforms, enhancing agility and innovation. SAP Business Data Cloud Connect allows zero-copy sharing which will help customers to bring SAP data products directly into their existing platforms, eliminating duplication, reducing transformation efforts. Databricks and Google Cloud are the first partners enabled for SAP BDC Connect, with more to follow.
SAP has opened restricted public preview of four new intelligent applications in SAP BDC that were announced in SAP Sapphire 2025 – Finance Intelligence, Spend Intelligence, Supply Chain Intelligence and Revenue Intelligence.
SAP also unveiled deep research capability in Joule expanding the use of Joule Interface. It moves beyond providing quick answers to offer comprehensive strategic analysis, reporting, and synthesis all within a unified, seamless experience. SAP has introduced Role-Based Assistants in Joule to enhance collaboration between humans and AI across every function. Joule’s new generation of role-aware assistants is built to collaborate with individuals in their specific business roles by leveraging the right behind-the-scenes agents for each task. The operating model having Joule, Joule Agents and AI Assistants will shift user experience from app navigation to outcome orchestration.
SAP announced a range of new products and innovations across different functional areas:
Finance Connect highlighted Finance as the enterprise’s conductor ensuring organizational health and mitigating risks. Conclusion
Lastly, Chief Operating Officer Sebastian Steinhaeuser took to the keynote stage on the final day to share how “SAP runs SAP” using the flywheel model: starting with role-based AI assistants, powered by specialized agents; followed by SAP Business Data Cloud, where SAP acts as “customer zero” to unify enterprise data; and culminating in the application layer, where SAP has transitioned from ECC to SAP Business Suite and SAP Cloud ERP via RISE with SAP demonstrating how data creation and AI-driven impact converge.
SAP’s emphasis on the App + Data + AI flywheel and the SAP Business Suite as the foundation for enterprise transformation means partners must prioritize suite-based implementations over best-of-breed integrations, develop expertise in harmonized data models and cross-functional orchestration and help clients avoid the “integration tax” by promoting unified architectures and Custom agent development and AI enablement services are no longer optional, they are essential for staying competitive and relevant in today’s evolving SAP Implementation ecosystem.
Thus, SAP Connect 2025 brought together diverse units under one roof, displaying powerful cross-functional collaboration, insightful sessions, and the unified strength of SAP solutions driving enterprise transformation.
